Grand Events

2/9/2015

This past weekend was absolutely incredible! I had the opportunity to attend the celebrity birthday party for Ari the Heiress, owner of Super Star Nail Lacquer (styleshoppe.com). The elegant affair was hosted by Dr. Stacia Pierce (www.lifecoach2women.com). The Parisian themed party had the most elegant décor that I have ever experienced. The atmosphere in the room made you feel as if you had been teleported to Paris, France. The food, beverages and desserts were exquisite. Then to top it off each attendee received party favors that were just unbelievable. And yes, Ashley*s Sweet Chips were a favored treat in one of the party favor boxes. I am so grateful for these next level experiences that allow me to achieve the success that I desire.

Here's a few of the pictures from this grand event.

Vision for 2015

In order to Go Big you must Dream Big!  Vision is the key to success. Without a vision you will have trouble deciding which direction to go in and finding yourself going from one thing to another with multiple projects that lack the completion to propel you to bigger and better things. Yes, it is nice to say that you have completed multiple projects but it is even greater to say that you have completed things because of time, energy and focus put into one major area to make it a success that creates a long lasting result. I have made the right now decision that my major focus for 2015 is to make sure Ashley*s Sweet Chips continues to move in a fast forward motion. My mentor and life coach Dr. Stacia Pierce (www.lifecoach2women.com) told me to finish strong in 2014 so that I could propel forward in 2015.

I had a major opportunity put before me at the end of the year. I took fast action and said yes to the opportunity, made a goal card and moved forward. I created special packaging and shipped cookies to New York in 4 days. When you have a vision, make a plan for it and take fast action the rest will fall into place. The end result Ashley*s Sweet Chips were in the celebrity gift bags for the Bobby Flay event.

Holiday Traditions

The Christmas Holiday is only 11 days away! I’m so excited to spend time with family and friends. Holiday traditions give personal meaning to why you choose to celebrate the holiday season. It has been a tradition since I was a little girl that on Christmas Eve we would have hors d’oeuvres and sweet treats throughout the day and evening while playing games. I have carried on that tradition with my family and friends for the past 25 years. Last year we added the ugly sweater contest! I would love to hear from you what holiday traditions you have created.

Holiday Feast Time Saving Tips

11/17/2014

The Thanksgiving Holiday is just days away. In an effort to keep your stress down and have more time to enjoy with the family here are some tips to help you. Planning is the #1 key to a successful fun filled day.

1) Develop your menu. I usually ask my family members what dishes would they like me to prepare and then I add to it to give us a big variety of things to eat.

2) Make a detailed list of every item needed for each dish you’re planning to prepare. This gives you an overview of every item you need for your family feast.

3) Take an inventory of ypur pantry to see which items you already have and to make sure that you have enough. There is nothing like preparing a dish to realize you forgot one of the key ingredients.

4) Prepare your shopping list and head to the store. Look through the sales flyers for deals and coupons.

5) Food Prep. Now that the shopping is done you can start to prepare items ahead of time to make your cooking journey a breeze. I chop and cut vegetables days ahead and put them in storage bags and /or containers to save time when I start cooking.

6) Cook items in shifts. I usually take two days to prepare dishes and desserts. For example I prepare my dressing the day before and put it in the refigerator and on Thanksgiving morning I pop it in the oven. This gives ypu fresh baked dressing where the seasonings had the opportunity to sit in the dressing overnight before baking. Prepare and group items together that can be cooked at the same temperature.

7) Disposable items. I use aluminum pans and lids for holiday meals. They are easy to store as you can stack them in the refigerator. There are numerous designs of decorative disposable plates, cups and plastic wear to make your holiday festive which aleviates timely dishwashing thus giving the cook more time to spend with the family.

Following these tips will help you to be more organizaed thus creating more time to enjoy your time with family and friends. Have a happy and blessed holiday season!
